Hi again everyone, and thank you for inviting me to judge the ‘Birds’ competition. I hope you are all having a fabulous summer, wherever you are.
Birds are one of my special interests, I’ve been involved in birdwatching and bird photography for over 15 years now, and it is a real passion. I have loved looking at all your images, because for me, birds are one of the most wonderful photographic subjects.
I am also aware that not everyone has the ability or interest to photograph wild birds, so I am keeping this in mind when judging. I personally prefer not to see jesses or posts in images, or things that define the bird as captive, but that’s a personal taste thing, and having these things does not change whether
a photo is well taken or not. I will be judging on photographic merit as I see it, rather than where the photo was taken.
I have added a couple of my own images if anyone is interested. 🙂
