Judge: Barney Douglas

My mother was a founder member and later a Life Fellow of the British Ballet Organisation, was the choreographer and troupe leader of the showgirls who worked at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing in the 1930s and into World War II, and, when I last checked, still holds the record for having the greatest number of former pupils, six in total, of any dancing school worldwide simultaneously as members of The Bluebell Girls at the Folies Bergères in Paris, set in 1953.

I trained as a dancer and actor, thwarted by a fairly serious injury in 1969, played with Worthing based pop group The Triad from 1968 to 1972, and country double act Whitewood in the late 1970s.
