March 2024 – Pets

Thank you again for asking me to judge this lovely competition, I am especially excited to be judging one on pets, which is something very close to my heart. I have only just come back from a wonderful trip to Crufts, where I had a lovely time meeting all the beautiful dogs.
I started out as a pet photographer really, and I have done it at varying levels over the years, with a great deal of work involving show animals and photographing them for websites to bring out their best features. I have done all sorts of fun and whimsical photoshoots too – and now I mostly just photograph my own dog and those of my friends. My particular interest was always in small animal photography, and since I no longer keep small animals myself it’s something I miss.
Anyway, enough rambling from me, onto these lovely, sweet, fun images – every one of which made me smile! Thank you again.
